Dakshita Khurana

Senior Scientist

Dakshita Khurana is a Scientist in the NTT Research CIS Lab currently on leave from her position as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Her work is focused on cryptography and related topics in privacy, security, and theoretical computer science. She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles under the supervision of Professors Rafail Ostrovsky and Amit Sahai.

 

Recently, Dakshita was a Google Research Fellow at the Simons Institute, Berkeley, and was named to Forbes List of 30 under 30 in Science. She previously received the 2017-18 Dissertation Year Fellowship, the 2017-18 UCLA Outstanding Graduating Ph.D. Student Award in computer science, the 2017-18 Symantec Outstanding Graduate Student Research Award, and the 2016-17 Cisco Outstanding Graduate Student Research Award.
